The Langhe Photo Prize invites photographers of all nationalities, both professionals and amateurs, to participate in the Open Call 2025 by submitting a photographic project.
The theme is open, allowing space for creativity and personal visions: from intimate perspectives to social dimensions, from connections with the environment to collective dynamics—every approach is welcomed and valued.
The Open Call aims to promote photographic language and provide a concrete opportunity to showcase one’s work.
Selected projects will be exhibited through solo and group shows during the Langhe Photo Festival 2025. Additionally, artists recognized for the value of their artistic research will receive support tools for their work, such as EIZO monitors, to encourage the development of their future projects.

Regulations
1. Purpose of the Initiative
The Open Call LanghePhotoPrize 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the "open call") is a non-profit cultural initiative organized by the Associazione Culturale LAC (hereinafter referred to as the "organizer"). Participants are invited to submit a photographic project on an open theme, allowing each individual to express their creative vision without thematic constraints.

2. Eligibility Requirements
- Participation is open to photographers of any nationality, both professionals and amateurs.
- Collaborative projects are allowed. In the case of multi-author projects, a primary contact person must be designated.
- Each participant can submit only one project.
- Works containing offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or illegal material are not permitted.
- Participants guarantee that the submitted projects comply with current copyright regulations.
- Projects that have already been submitted to other open calls are eligible, provided they meet the requirements outlined in these regulations.
- Minors under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate in the open call.
- The open call is void and invalid where prohibited by law.
3. Participation Guidelines
- The open call will begin on March 10, 2025, at 00:00 (Italian time, CET) and will end on May 4, 2025, at 23:59 (Italian time, CET).
- Projects submitted after the deadline of May 4, 2025, at 23:59 (CET) will not be considered.
- Participants must upload their photographic project through the official LanghePhotoPrize portal (www.langhephotoprize.com).
- Color and/or black-and-white images are allowed.
- Photographs can be taken with any photographic device, digital and/or analog.
- Post-processed images are allowed.
- Images generated by artificial intelligence are not allowed.
- Diptychs, triptychs, or multiple images are allowed. If the diptych/triptych is uploaded as a single file, it will count as one photograph.
- Once submitted, the project cannot be modified or replaced.
- The project must include:
- A maximum of 15 photographs. Accepted formats: JPEG or PNG.
Maximum file size: Each file must not exceed 5 megabytes (MB). - The project title.
- A brief project description (max 250 words).
- An optional, unrestricted description for additional details.

4. Entry Fee
- Participation in the open call requires the payment of a €25 entry fee.
- This fee is necessary to cover the organizational costs of the initiative, including the management of the submission platform, jury work, exhibition production, and promotional activities related to the event.
- Accepted payment methods are those listed on the official Open Call portal at the time of submission (http://www.langhephotoprize.com)
- The entry fee is non-refundable.
5. Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights
- Each participant retains full copyright over the submitted images.
- Participants grant the organizer and open call partners the non-exclusive right to use the images for purposes related to the promotion of the open call, exhibitions, and associated activities (e.g., press releases, social media, catalogs, official website, brochures), with mandatory credit to the author.
- Participants guarantee that the submitted works are original and do not infringe upon the rights of third parties.
- Participants declare that they have obtained all necessary model releases for any recognizable individuals depicted in the images. If requested, these releases must be provided to the organizers.
- In the event of legal disputes, the organizer and its partners disclaim all liability.
6. Jury and Evaluation Criteria
- The jury, composed of Francesco Comello, Alberto Selvestrel, and Deanna Dikeman, will evaluate the projects anonymously, without knowing the identity of the author.
- Projects will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Artistic and technical quality: The ability to convey a concept, emotion, or narrative through the visual and technical quality of the images.
- Originality and creativity: The uniqueness and innovative approach of the project.
- Coherence and cohesiveness: The overall strength of the project, including narrative and conceptual consistency among the submitted images.
- The jury's decision is final and not subject to appeal.
7. Awards
- The selected projects will receive:
- First place: A solo exhibition during the LanghePhotoFestival 2025 in Neive (CN), curated by the LanghePhotoFestival + EIZO ColorEdge CS2731 monitor + EX5 calibrator.
- Second place: A solo exhibition during the LanghePhotoFestival 2025 in Neive (CN), curated by the LanghePhotoFestival + EIZO ColorEdge CS2400S monitor.
- Third place: A solo exhibition during the LanghePhotoFestival 2025 in Neive (CN), curated by the LanghePhotoFestival.
- Fourth to twentieth place: A group exhibition featuring the selected projects during the LanghePhotoFestival 2025 in Neive (CN), curated by the LanghePhotoFestival.
- The exhibitions of the selected projects will be fully produced by the organizer, covering all production costs.
- The awards are intended to support the artistic growth of participants and are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.
8. Announcement of Selected Projects
- The names of the photographers with selected projects will be published on May 25, 2025, on the official LanghePhotoPrize website (http://www.langhephotoprize.com).

9. Limitation of Liability
- The organizer will not be held responsible for any damages, losses, or technical issues related to the digital transmission of files or for interruptions to the website due to technical causes, cyberattacks, or other events beyond the control of the organization.
- Participants are solely responsible for the content they submit and for any copyright violations or third-party rights infringements arising from their projects.
10. Complaints and Disputes
- Participants acknowledge and accept that any complaints or disputes will be governed by Italian law.
- The Court of Asti, Italy, will be the sole competent authority to resolve any disputes related to the open call.
11. Errors or Omissions
- The organizer does not guarantee the absence of errors or omissions in promotional materials, communications, or the regulations themselves. In case of discrepancies, the official version of the regulations published on the official website will prevail.
12. Acceptance of the Regulations
- Participation in the open call implies full acceptance of these regulations.
